Cupcake Marathon!

My husband is running in the Bayshore Marathon in Traverse City, Michigan on Saturday. In honor of his run, and all his friends in RunGazelle, I have been on a cupcake baking marathon. So far this has been my personal best. Number one is a lovely Peanut Butter cupcake with Peanut Butter Frosting and a sliver of dark chocolate on top. Number two is a Maple French Toast cupcake with Maple frosting and a slice of bacon on top.

Run, Darrin, Run!

Dying workshop with Bryan Schneider-Thomas

Took a fiber dying workshop from Bryan Schneider-Thomas through the Woodland Weavers and Spinners Guild in April. Had a great time dying some of my hand spun yarns. Also dyed some Laminated Felt swatches for future use as scarves.

Baby Gift

Made these cute booties for part of a baby gift for a special friend. At Nine 0'clock last night I decided that I needed something more to add to the gift. Found this pattern on http://www.raverly.com and started knitting the first one around ten, finished after midnight and started the second. Picked up this morning and was done in about two hours. They were easy and quick to knit up. Here is a link to the free pattern: http://www.saartjeknits.nl/archives/2007/05/
The yarn is a wool of unknown origins. I think I picked it up at the Michigan Fiber Festival.
Thank you Saartje for such a great pattern!

This what my desk looks like when trying to do many things at the same time. Taxes, posting yarn to the Etsy shop, applying to art shows, and ordering more yarn.

Shopping with Rosie O'Donnell on Etsy!

Participated in a virtual lab with Rosie O'Donnell on Etsy today. She has a Etsy store where she sells her crafts with the proceeds going to Rosie's Broadway Kids.
